Cardiac rhythm devices remain foundational, alongside insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring, spinal implants, surgical robotics, and neuromodulation. A 2015 inversion through the Covidien acquisition moved the legal domicile to Ireland while operational headquarters stayed in Minneapolis. It is among the largest medical device makers anywhere.
