Conrad Hilton bought his first hotel in Cisco, Texas in 1919. Blackstone took the company private in 2007 at the market peak, rode out the crisis, and returned it to public markets in 2013 in what became one of the most profitable private equity deals ever. The company then spun off its real estate and timeshare arms in 2017, leaving a pure franchising and management business. Brands span Waldorf Astoria to Hampton, with Honors loyalty spanning them. Headquarters are in McLean, Virginia.

Hilton equity questions

How much does it cost to hedge HLT stock?
The cost of a protective put depends on how far below the current price you set the floor, how long the protection lasts, and HLT's option-implied volatility. A zero-cost collar lowers that cost by selling away some upside. The calculator above prices both structures off the current HLT option chain and shows the annual cost, maximum loss, and tax treatment.
Does Hilton grant ISOs, NSOs, or RSUs?
Equity compensation at Hilton typically takes the form of restricted stock units (RSUs). Restricted stock units are taxed as ordinary income when they vest.
Do Hilton RSUs use double-trigger vesting?
No. Hilton restricted stock units (RSUs) use single-trigger vesting: each tranche becomes yours as it vests on schedule, taxed as ordinary income at that point, with no liquidity event required.
