Leonard Schleifer founded the company in 1988 and recruited George Yancopoulos, who built the antibody discovery platforms VelociSuite and VelocImmune that produce most of its pipeline internally rather than by acquisition. Eylea for retinal disease became the commercial anchor, Dupixent with Sanofi grew into a large immunology franchise, and REGEN-COV was authorized during the pandemic. The company retains an unusual scientist-led culture and a long partnership with Sanofi. Headquarters and laboratories are in Tarrytown, New York.

Regeneron equity questions
- How much does it cost to hedge REGN stock?

A zero-cost collar lowers that cost by selling away some upside. The calculator above prices both structures off the current REGN option chain and shows the annual cost, maximum loss, and tax treatment.

- Equity compensation at Regeneron typically takes the form of restricted stock units (RSUs). Restricted stock units are taxed as ordinary income when they vest.
- Do Regeneron RSUs use double-trigger vesting?
- No. Regeneron restricted stock units (RSUs) use single-trigger vesting: each tranche becomes yours as it vests on schedule, taxed as ordinary income at that point, with no liquidity event required.
