Arthur Parker founded the company in 1917 selling pneumatic braking systems, lost everything when a truck carrying his inventory crashed, and rebuilt. It now makes motion and control technologies: hydraulics, pneumatics, filtration, seals, and fluid connectors, sold across industrial and aerospace markets in enormous product breadth. The 2022 Meggitt acquisition for roughly $8 billion doubled aerospace exposure, adding braking and fire protection systems with long aftermarket tails. Headquarters are in Cleveland, Ohio.
