Founded in 1902 as a linseed crushing operation, the company buys, transports, stores, and processes agricultural commodities, turning corn and oilseeds into ingredients for food, feed, and fuel. Margins come from spreads between raw and processed prices and from the logistics network rather than from any brand. Ethanol and renewable diesel link results to energy policy as much as to crop yields. Grain origination assets are hard to replicate because they occupy specific river and rail locations. Headquarters are in Chicago.

A protective put caps your downside on the ADM position at a chosen floor; a zero-cost collar pays for that floor by capping the upside. This calculator prices both structures off the current ADM option chain, with annual cost, max loss, and tax-treatment notes.

Example: a 5,000-share ADM position at $82.45 is worth $412,250. A 1-year 30%-OTM put on that position typically runs 2-4% of position value per year (about $8,245 to $16,490) before any premium offset from a short call. The calculator prices both structures off ADM's current option chain so you see the actual cost for your chosen floor, tenor, and cap.
