  • RSUs use single-trigger vesting: shares become yours as each portion vests on schedule, and the value is taxed as ordinary income at that point. No IPO or acquisition is required.

A protective put caps your downside on the KVYO position at a chosen floor; a zero-cost collar pays for that floor by capping the upside. This calculator prices both structures off the current KVYO option chain, with annual cost, max loss, and tax-treatment notes.

Example: a 5,000-share KVYO position at $13.84 is worth $69,200. A 1-year 30%-OTM put on that position typically runs 2-4% of position value per year (about $1,384 to $2,768) before any premium offset from a short call. The calculator prices both structures off KVYO's current option chain so you see the actual cost for your chosen floor, tenor, and cap.

Klaviyo equity questions

How much does it cost to hedge KVYO stock?
The cost of a protective put depends on how far below the current price you set the floor, how long the protection lasts, and KVYO's option-implied volatility. A zero-cost collar lowers that cost by selling away some upside. The calculator above prices both structures off the current KVYO option chain and shows the annual cost, maximum loss, and tax treatment.
Does Klaviyo grant ISOs, NSOs, or RSUs?
Equity compensation at Klaviyo typically takes the form of incentive stock options (ISOs), non-qualified stock options (NSOs), and restricted stock units (RSUs). Incentive stock options can trigger the alternative minimum tax (AMT) when you exercise. Restricted stock units are taxed as ordinary income when they vest.
Do Klaviyo RSUs use double-trigger vesting?
No. Klaviyo restricted stock units (RSUs) use single-trigger vesting: each tranche becomes yours as it vests on schedule, taxed as ordinary income at that point, with no liquidity event required.
